ESI Communications Servers to enhance productivity for up to 3,000 USDA offices
PLANO, TEXAS; OCTOBER 13, 2009 — Estech Systems, Inc. (ESI), an innovative leader in
digital and IP business communications systems, announced today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will deploy ESI Communications Servers to modernize its communications. Last month, ESI Reseller AMERICAN SYSTEMS announced that it has been awarded a highly competitive blanket purchase agreement, with a potential value of $20 million, by the USDA’s International Technology Services (ITS) contracting team, under the General Services Administration’s Connections Contract. “We are delighted to work with AMERICAN SYSTEMS to upgrade this vital government agency with the latest ESI innovations,” said Doug Boyd, President and Chief Operating Officer of ESI. “I am confident our past experience working with government agencies and our advanced technologies will produce measurable improvement in agency productivity.” Boyd added, “ESI’s world-class support resources are ready to help if assistance is required.” Under the agreement, which is expected to run through January, 2012, AMERICAN SYSTEMS will install and provide end user training on ESI Communications Servers for approximately 3,000 service center agencies nationwide. ESI’s powerful Communications Servers will give USDA service center agencies easy-to-use communications features — including Voice over IP (VoIP), voice mail, and auto attendant, as well as support for applications such as presence management, call logging, Bluetooth voice integration, remote networking, and session initiation protocol (SIP) — while helping improve overall administrative efficiency. “ESI has a long history of creating easy-to-use telecom products which makes them an excellent partner,” said William C. Hoover, President and Chief Executive Officer of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. “The unique applications offered by ESI’s feature-rich Communications Servers made the company a logical choice for this effort.” AMERICAN SYSTEMS contact:
